Our Cypripedium calceolus...
SOLD OUT
Description Cypripedium calceolus is commonly known as the European Yellow Lady's Slipper. A European cousin of the North American Yellow Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens), this species boasts the largest geographic distribution of any cypripedium as it ranges throughout Europe and Asia. Sadly, its populations are diminished and extinct in certain areas due to over collection.
The plant has 1 or 2 yellow slipper flowers with sepals and petals being dark maroon in color. The plant blooms for 2 - 2.5 weeks
in mid to late Spring. This species is slightly more challenging to grow than the American Yellow Lady's Slipper.
